About The Event
Haven't found time to finish that script? Still need to memorize your lines? Want to catch up on your reading? Or maybe you just want to escape the noise of the city. WELL, COME ON DOWN TO (shh!)…*whispers* come on down to Fail Better Quiet Time.
Our newest program provides a quiet space for you to combat your procrastination with a dose of accountability. In experimenting with "silent write/read-ins" for the past year, we've observed that working alongside your fellow failees in silence can allow for motivation, a consistent routine and community.
Help us create Quiet Time every 2nd Sunday of the month, 12-3pm, in Queens by simply showing up.
Please observe the following upon entering:
- Allow silence.
- Enjoy your music at a low volume.
- Enter & exit as you please.
After two hours we'll take some time to get know each other, and what we're all working on.
We encourage sharing your unfinished Quiet Time work with our Fail Better Reading Series to hear it aloud in front of other supportive failees, optional feedback discussion available. Or you can tell your mess-in-progress story at Fail Better Storytime, our kind-of-a-workshop storytelling show. It could even be the beginnings of a longer piece you'll submit to our 1st Draft Series.
All are welcome!
Coffee provided.
